6 in the case of Messrs. Deacon, Looker and Deacon; 4 im
the case of Messrs. Johnson, Stokes and Master; 4 in the
case of Messrs. Wilkinson and Grist; 3 in the case of
Messrs. Ewens and Harston (but this Firm employs an un-
-qualified clerk who does the work of Solicitor); Hastings
and Hastings; Goldring and Barlow; and Brutton and Hett.
It would appear therefore that
Messrs. Dennys and Bowley have not as much -edt-work,
even with their Crown Solicitor's work, as 4 other Firms
in the Colony, and not more apparently than 3 others of
which Messrs. Goldring and Barlow is one.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient,
humble servant,
Officer Administering the Govern-
-ment.
